Pricepirates is an online shopping assistance tool. It is not one of those snipping apps that do the shopping for you. Instead, this tool helps you compare the prices of items on eBay with other online shopping websites. Amazon is the main site with which Pricepirates compares prices, but there are other sites as well.

I love shopping online, and I love getting stuff for cheaper than retail. I am constantly looking for bargains on eBay and other auction sites and comparing with Amazon or Froogle. This tool makes it easy for you to do just that. You can use it to browse eBay and look for deals. You can add auctions to a watch list for easy access and the application automatically compares the prices with available web sites that carry the same product for you.

In my testing, I found that Pricepirates is a little bit picky when searching for items. You have to be very specific so that the application understands that you want Transformers, the movie, and not the game, for example. But once it gets your point, it successfully grabs prices from all over the net. For me, and this is just personal taste, Pricepirates serves as a good eBay browser, but I wouldn't use it for price comparison, just because I find it easier to simply do it on my web browser. However, the application is more than able to do it for you.
